Ms. Sullivan opened ASSANYC in 2009, designing the interiors for The James Hotel Soho after having been part of the team that created The James hospitality brand. Her small office has grown along with her client base, all by word of mouth.

Before founding ASSANYC, Ms. Sullivan honed her craft while working for renowned architects, designers, and developers on various Gucci and Bottega Veneta flagship stores in Europe and New York, the Palacio Theater in Madrid, and several notable boutique hotels.

Ms. Sullivan believes that design is a responsive art form, interacting with the built environment and synergizing her client’s vision with space, light, art, color, geometry, and touch. The firm’s attentive and collaborative approach to design nurtures an open exchange of ideas that results in every project being treated as a unique expression of function, context, and its clients’ essential needs and tastes.
